Older girls' dresses looked more like
women's dresses. The older the girl,
the longer her skirt. By the time a girl
was 17 or 18, her skirt was usually
floor-length and her hair was worn up
rather than hanging down.
The top dress came with a pattern for
matching bloomers. Bloomers were
used for gym outfits and riding bicycles.
The bottom dress features the lace
insertion popular in the early 1900s.
