



| During the 1880s-90s, "Little Lord Fauntleroy" suits were popular for boys. At least, the suits were popular with mother. Little boys probably didn't like them very much. Some of the suits were made of black velvet and had ruffles on the shirts. They were named after the main character in the book Little Lord Fauntleroy. | While little boys were suffering through their velvet suits, little girls were adorable in delicate dresses. Little girls still wear clothes similar to this today for special occasions.
